Welcome to the new EEinWisconsin landing page
The old EEinWisconsin.org website was retired in 2025 due to aging website infrastructure. The links on the home page provide new pathways to many of the same resources, now housed on multiple organization's websites.
The goal of EEinWisconsin.org is to assure that people in Wisconsin have opportunities to learn about, participate in, and promote environmental education activities and resources.
The former EEinWisconsin.org clearinghouse website was part of a multi-state partnership and managed over the years by the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education, Wisconsin Environmental Education Foundation, and finally FIELD Edventures.
EEinWisconsin.org is now a collaborative project involving environmental education enthusiasts throughout the state.
FIELD Edventures connects with educators to explore the outdoors, foster inquiry, and engage learners through discovery to activate the rock-skipping, frog-catching spirit through:
Professional Learning
Instructional Partnerships

The Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education is a member-based, professional community of individuals and organizations with diverse backgrounds that promotes responsible environmental action, elevates voices for environmental justice, and celebrates excellence in environmental education. Three pillars frame our work: Advocacy, Networking, and Recognition.
The Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin helps protect our state’s lands, waters, and wildlife by providing strategic funding, leading conservation partnerships, and connecting all people with nature in Wisconsin. Through our grant programs, we partner with hundreds of nature centers, schools, land trusts, and other organizations to support conservation and environmental education projects in Wisconsin.
The Department of Natural Resources is dedicated to working with Wisconsinites while preserving and enhancing the natural resources of Wisconsin. In partnership with individuals and organizations, DNR staff manage fish, wildlife, forests, parks, air and water resources while promoting a healthy, sustainable environment and a full range of outdoor opportunities
Wisconsin state law requires that every school district develop and implement a kindergarten through grade 12 sequential curriculum plan for environmental education (see the Wisconsin Education 20 Standards). In addition, environmental education objectives and activities shall be integrated into the kindergarten through grade 12 sequential curriculum plans, with the greatest emphasis in art, health, science and social studies education [see Wisconsin Administrative Code PI 8.01(2)(k]. The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has an environmental education consultant and provides Wisconsin Standards for Environmental Literacy and Sustainability to guide curriculum planning.
